DJ 2 ‘E’Z began organising and performing at Hip Hop/Dance events in and around Milton Keynes during the early 1990s. By 1991 DJ 2’E’Z had begun collaborating with rapper Judge Wizely and contributing to early demo recordings by The W.I.Z.E Crew. In 1992 DJ 2 ‘E’Z established his own label 2’E’Z Records and released a series of early Hardcore/Drum & Bass recordings that involved several local DJs, producers and artists.

Between the years 1992 and 1993 2’E’Z Records released the following recordings:
- VARIOUS – “Kuppa Soop – Hardcore Mayhem Vol 1” (1992)
- VARIOUS – “Kuppa Soop II – Mona In Despair” (1993)
- DJ RYLOW featuring MC BIZKIT “The Hardcore Innovator EP” (1993)
- DJ RYAN “Come Girl Come” (1993)
- MEGA 4 “Drop This” (T.E.T Remix) (1993).
DJ 2’E’Z‘s debut recording entitled “Hardcore mayhem” formed part of the labels first release “Kuppa Soop – Hardcore mayhem Vol 1“. The EP contained six recordings in total and also features compositions by Judge Wizely, DJ Roughcut and The Hyper Crew. “Kuppa Soop – Hardcore mayhem Vol 1” was released in 1992 on 12″ vinyl with a black & white sleeve. Although the classification of “Hardcore mayhem” by DJ 2’E’Z would fall in to that of early Rave/Drum & Bass music there are several elements of Hip Hop featured in the composition such as rap vocals performed by The Atom of Hip Hop crew Death Before Dishonour (DBD) and scratches. The recording appears on Side B track position 3 of the “Kuppa Soop Hardcore mayhem vol 1″ EP and can be heard in the below youtube video:

In 1993 a follow up EP entitled “Kuppa Soop II – Mona In Despair” was released. The EP contained six recordings in total and was collectively created by DJ Roughcut, The Rat, DJ 2’E’Z, The Happy Hippy, The Bus Conducter and The W.I.Z.E Crew. Like its predecessor “Kuppa Soop II – Mona In Despair” was also released on 12″ vinyl with a black & white sleeve. Both sides of the sleeve design can be viewed in the below slideshow:
Kuppa Soop Vol 2 “Mona in despair” – 2’E’Z Records, 1993.
DJ 2’E’Z & The Rat composed and recorded the title track “Mona in despair” which appears on Side A track position 1 of the “Kuppa Soop II – Mona In Despair” EP. “Mona in despair” was also the last composition created by DJ 2’E’Z to be released to date. The recording which is listed as “Mona in despair (pagoda mix)” on the sleeve contains several film samples at the start of the composition that act as an introduction to the EP. “Mona in despair” can be heard in the below youtube video:
The Rat & 2’E’Z “Mona in despair” – 2’E’Z Records, 1993.
DJ 2’E’Z progressed from being a recording artist to focus on running 2’E’Z Records which released three more 12″ singles/EPs during the year 1993. The further releases which contain compositions by recording artists DJ Rylow featuring MC Bizkit, DJ Ryan and Mega 4 all fall in to the Rave\Hadcore musical genre.
